Sounds of the Belt

Three releases in one day. v0.5.0 fixed scale. v0.6.0 added comfort. v0.7.0 brings the belt to life with sound, situational awareness, and saves you can trust.

Audio feedback

Every action now has a voice. Mining strikes clink against rock. Buildings chime when they complete. Robot deployments hum. Threat alerts cut through with urgency. These aren't ambient loops — they're responses to what you're doing, when you're doing it. The belt was too quiet before. Not anymore.

Minimap overhaul

The old minimap was a placeholder rectangle. The new one shows asteroid positions as dots scaled by size, threat zones in red, and your base territory outlined. Click anywhere on it to jump the camera there. When you're managing a belt that spans millions of kilometers, you need a map that actually helps.

Sound and spatial awareness — two things that turn a simulation into something you feel. This is the version where the belt starts talking back.

Save/load reliability

A nasty bug was silently corrupting asteroid orbit data on save. Load a game, and orbital positions would drift from where they should be. Fixed — orbital elements (semi-major axis, eccentricity, phase) now round-trip cleanly, with integration tests to keep it that way.

Cultures of the Belt is free to play. Pay what you can if you like what you find in the rocks.
