Precursors v0.4.25 — Love Takes Time

Norns now have actual courtship. They approach each other slowly, hearts appear, romance music plays, and only then do they mate. It's still emergent and driven by biochemistry, but it feels like something real is happening between two creatures instead of instant mechanical breeding.

Social norms

Two new taboos make the population dynamics more interesting. Norns suppress mating behavior when children are nearby — adults wait until the young ones wander off. And close relatives refuse to mate with each other entirely, which means genetic diversity matters and you'll want to find new Norns to introduce into the population.

Breathing room

Norns no longer hard-flee from crowds. The old system forced them apart with a rigid distance check; now their biochemistry handles it naturally. They'll still space out when they feel crowded, but they can also choose to stay close for singing, socializing, or just being together.
