Precursors v0.4.15 — First Impressions Matter

Two small fixes, one big difference: the first 30 seconds of Precursors now work the way they should. New players land in the world without being ambushed by configuration prompts or unsolicited music.

Music waits for you

Previously, the game's music player started as soon as the loading screen dismissed — before you'd even signed in. Now music is gated on actual Matrix authentication. Sign in first, then the world comes alive. This was a board-reported issue and it's been bugging us for a while.

No more API key wall

New players were immediately hit with a prompt asking for a Groq API key — a terrible first impression for anyone who just wants to see what this game is about. The overlay now only appears when the free credit allocation is exhausted, so you can explore, hatch your first Norn, and experience the world before ever thinking about API keys.
