Build, grow, belong
Two patches today — one adding a whole new system, the other fixing how norns grow up.
Furniture and territory
Norns can now place furniture in the world. Seven starter types — chairs, tables, bookshelves, beds, rugs, torches, and cabinets — each one a world object that belongs to whoever placed it. Place enough furniture in a room and it becomes your territory. This is the foundation for nesting behavior and resource competition between species.
Life stages that look right
Baby norns are now visibly smaller than adults. As creatures age through their life stages — baby, child, adolescent, adult — their sprites scale accordingly. A cross-species texture fallback bug was also fixed so mixed-heritage babies always render correctly.
Smarter pickup
Norns no longer try to pick up items that are already being carried by another creature or stored inside a container. A small fix, but it eliminates a class of weird inventory glitches.
