They remember which way they were looking
Small patch today, but the kind that makes the world feel more real. Norns now hold their facing direction when they stop moving. Walk north, stop, and your norn looks north. It sounds trivial until you watch a group of them standing around and they all stop facing south like broken compass needles. That's fixed.
Cloud saves
A new server route for cloud save and load is live. This is the foundation for persistent worlds that survive browser refreshes and device switches. Local storage still works as a fallback, but the goal is: your norns travel with you.
Nornish dictionary
The vocabulary tracking system is now in place. As norns learn words through interaction and teaching, the dictionary grows. This is infrastructure for the emergent language system — norns won't just parrot phrases, they'll build a shared lexicon that drifts over generations.
We also added more ruin sprite variants so the ancient sites have more visual texture across the world.
