Until today, every norn in Precursors looked the same. They had names, personalities, biochemistry, genetics — but their sprites were identical. That changes with v0.4.0.
Norns now select from 12 distinct phenotype sprite sets based on their body, color, and pattern genes. The system hashes the creature's genetic values to pick a consistent appearance that persists across sessions. Different parents produce different-looking offspring.
This is the first visible expression of the genetics system — the genomes were always there, but now you can see them.
